TagTracker™
TagTracker™ is a rugged hand-held wireless RFID reader that can withstand the rigors of field use. It's tough
casing can withstand repeated blows and drops - even being run over by a
pick-up truck. The reader includes International Standards Organization
(ISO)-compliant RFID electronics as well as wireless (no cables)
communications. The TagTracker™ reader reads an RFID tag and
communicates with a base station connected to a PC computer that can sit
over 100 feet away.

With
TagTracker™ there are no mechanical switches to trigger an RFID
read, which means nothing to wear out. The finger breaking an infrared
beam at the trigger activates Reading of an RFID tag.
In a typical AgInfoLink Global data collection session, the handheld
TagTracker™ reader reads an RFID eartag to identify the animal. A
workcard with embedded RFID transponders can also be associated with
various events. TagTracker™ is used to scan the workcard to record these
pre –programmed events. These workcards enable chute side data
collection without having to use the keyboard. Feedback to the user
comes via an audio response.
