Brazilian National Identification Solutions Provided by
AgInfoLink
L ongmont, CO- August 31, 2004-
DOMINAR Ltda., a Brazilian-based animal identification and certification
company, has recently renewed their contract for information services
with AgInfoLink USA, Inc. DOMINAR Ltda. recently formed subsidiary, AGIL
Rastreamento Ltda., who has been working with AgInfoLink’s governmental
compliance technology group to register animals and their movements into
the Brazilian national system (SISBOV-- Brazilian System of
Identification and Certification of Origin for Bovine and Buffalo) since
2002. AGIL Rastreamento Ltda. is one of the authorized data collection
systems certified by the Brazilian government, and it is the only
all-electronic system.
Brazil, with almost twice the national herd size of the United
States, has embarked upon a multi-year, multi-phase program to register
their national herd and provide a register of national herd movement.
AGIL Rastreamento Ltda.’s inventive electronic certification process
is powered by data collection and secure data sharing technology
licensed from AgInfoLink. According to Mark Armentrout, AgInfoLink Chief
Operating Officer, “We’ve worked with our partners in Brazil to design
and implement a complete system that includes premises management,
accurate and secure data collection, governmental compliance reporting,
and a management software interface.” While SISBOV requires twenty-two
pieces of information for each animal, the AgInfoLink solution allows
them to collect much more data and provide additional value to the

herd management.”
