AgInfoLink Solutions Work for the Kentucky Beef Network
Longmont, CO - March 29, 2004 -
The Kentucky Beef
Network (KBN) has selected AgInfoLink to provide a comprehensive suite
of information management solutions ranging from data collection and
online data retrieval and reporting to sale barn cattle source
verification. These solutions were developed to match the needs of KBN
members giving them the ability to keep accurate performance records, to
expand their marketing opportunities, and to comply with an approaching
National Identification program.
“We
have a vision of creating value for our producers while helping them
comply with National ID. We chose AgInfoLink to make this vision a
reality because of their ability to deliver effective and easy to use
management tools. We’re building systems that help producers, auction
markets, order buyers, and local officials get ahead of the curve.” said
John Stevenson, KBN Director.
Glenn Smith, Country
Manager AgInfoLink USA, “We are very proud to be involved with the KBN
team in putting ideas into practical applications. Together we’ve
created identification, tracking, reporting, and compliance applications
that create value. Each piece builds on the next giving producers the
ability to collect individual animal data, retrieve carcass data, and
perform online benchmarking and reporting. Additionally, we are working
with auction barns and governmental agencies to ensure each part of the
chain has the traceability tools needed to comply with National ID. We
see KBN as a model for what can be done in other states.”
The
Kentucky Beef Network works to add value to Kentucky cattle and provide
useful information that enables producers to improve the quality of
their cattle while increasing marketing opportunities. The network
provides Kentucky’s beef producers with information and educational
opportunities dealing with issues such as quality assurance, records

centers. For more information visit
