AgInfoLink has worked with Dr. David Daley on various research projects including a large scale ranch to feedlot to packer project to determine parentage of calves in multi-sire herds using DNA technology.
AgInfoLink’s system was used for ranch and feedlot data collection, and AgInfoLink’s reporting tools were used for data integration and analysis.
The BeefLink™ software suite, including Individual Animal Manager, Transfer Events, and AgInfoReports are installed at the CSU locations.
Peripheral devices including RFID tag readers, bar code scanners, and weigh scales are interfaced using the Device Ports component of the BeefLink product suite. The BeefLink products are IBM-compatible PC-based and are utilized on desktop and laptop machines. The software suite is a PC based application running on various Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows XP. The system is also successfully in operation on SQL Server networks. Each system also works in conjunction with MS Office 2000 or Office XP. There are currently 3 CSU system installs. AgInfoLink has worked with CSU on various research projects since 2000. AgInfoLink has provided CSU with very specific report writing services. These complex reporting tools, gave CSU the ability to analyze data and make research claims based upon their results.
